Responses to this seem to fall into two categories: 1. My car is too boring, and 2. My car is too interesting (ok, unreliable).

All we have to do is take the people with the boring cars and partner them up with the people that are tired of how exciting, or breakable, or whatever, their cars are. Then, when the inevitable time comes, they can swap with each other and begin the cycle anew.

For me it’s not so much that I grow tired of a car, it’s that I want something new and different while still enjoying what I’m currently driving.

I can’t tell you how many times I thought about buying a different car when I had my 05 Legacy GT wagon, but now that it’s gone, I want it back more than any car I’ve ever wanted.

Same here. I know the solution is 2 cars, but I haven’t the space for that.

I have a modern VW. It is both too boring and too interesting.

Fortunately I don’t have that problem, as there’s six cars on my property currently... but three of them don’t work. The three that do are my daily driver civic SI, my wife’s CR-V, and my supra.

I’m too picky about what I want to spend money on for that to work, really.
so I would be category 3: This is fine for me until I win the lottery

I love my E55 but I’ve been considering selling it because it doesn’t fit my needs anymore. And no matter what car I have, it will never be as fast or as fun as my bike. Which is why I want a GLK250.
